The internet has fundamentally changed the way that we consume media. The film industry has been relatively slow to adjust but nowadays things are changing tenfold. We now have streaming services like Hulu and Netflix creating content that can challenge even the most blockbuster worthy Hollywood films. Even the fundamental way that we acquire media has changed. No longer are people rushing to the movie theaters. Instead they are resorting to downloading films on the internet, sometimes within days of the film releasing worldwide. All of this talk about film has us adjusting our sights on television and how that has changed also. We've seen boxes like Roku and AppleTV get released. Now we are looking at CCcam servers.

So what exactly is a CCcam server? To put it simply, a cccam server is a device that operates off of a cardsharing protocol. The sharing aspect of the word 'cardsharing' is referencing the sharing of access to private digital TV packages. You access CCcam servers by connecting your television to special boxed devices that are then connected to the internet. Once connected to the internet, and to the right server, you are then given access to previously encrypted channels. Yep, this is helping you to bypass having to pay for your own expensive cable package. But is it legal?

Cardsharing, like torrenting, isn't intrinsically illegal. Cardsharing is just a tool and any tool can be used for both good and bad means. If you use cardsharing to access content that you've already paid for, such as a cable package that you are subscribed to, then you are completely in the clear. If you use cardsharing to download cable packages that you haven't paid for then you can wind up getting into some level of trouble if you get caught.
